But so much more important than these “things” held in their hands,
was the knowledge that Jesus Christ was going before them and opening all the doors for His church to be built on the firm foundation of the Truth that they carried.
They had heard from God that it was His will to see HIS Church and HIS Truth be made available for all the people of Salisbury and its surrounding areas, regardless of race, wealth, past lives or present circumstances.
We are so thankful that over the past forty years we have seen this vision come to pass and are excited to see what the Lord has in store for the future of His church.
We are also excited about the plans that our current church ministry along with Pastor Cody Mackie, his wife Marlo and their wonderful 4 children and Assistant Pastor David Spann, have to continue to carry this message of Truth that God gave to us forward into the future.
Pastor Cody Mackie and his wife, Marlo Mackie, have been united in marriage since 2008 and reside in Delmar, Delaware. His ministry is guided by a strong passion for serving the lost and an unwavering expectation in the Lord's work on Delmarva. Pastor Mackie reveals that his path to becoming a pastor was not intentional, but rather a result of seeking God's face, which led to his divine calling.

David and Mary Spann met in 1984. Three years later they were married in a service held on their property.
A couple of years later something else happened on their property that would forever change their lives: a fence was built. The fence was erected by Bishop RC Lawson and the men building a church that was being erected next to their home.
Contrary to what they thought, God was not keeping them out: He used the fence to get them in!
Not long after that, in August of 1990, Brother and Sister Spann would receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in the home of Bishop RC Lawson and his wife Sylvia during a Bible study! They were Baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ shortly thereafter. God had a calling on the Spann's lives unlike anything they had ever experienced!
Over the next two decades Brother Spann would serve as the Assistant Pastor to Bishop RC Lawson. He now proudly and faithfully serves as the Assistant Pastor to Pastor CT Mackie.
We are so excited and honored to be partakers together with the Lord of the great revival that God is bringing to Delmarva and beyond through Risen Life Apostolic Church under the guiding ministry of Pastor CT Mackie!
The Spann's have a daughter (Tanya), son-in-law (Eric), and grandson (Max).
